Editorial & Peer Review Policies

Peer Review Policy

JAMCR follows a rigorous double-blind peer review policy to ensure the highest standards of scholarly publishing, maintaining objectivity, confidentiality, and academic quality. All manuscripts undergo an initial editorial screening to assess scope, originality, ethical compliance, and adherence to formatting guidelines. Manuscripts that meet the preliminary criteria are assigned to at least two independent expert reviewers for evaluation under the double-blind system, where both author and reviewer identities remain anonymous.

Reviewers assess manuscripts based on originality, novelty, mathematical rigor, methodological soundness, clarity of presentation, and ethical compliance. Based on reviewers' recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may accept the manuscript with or without minor revisions, request major revisions and resubmission, or reject the manuscript. The final decision on publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief. The average review duration is 4–6 weeks from the date of assignment to reviewers. Authors receive detailed reviewer comments and are encouraged to submit a point-by-point response; revised manuscripts are re-evaluated by the same reviewers where feasible.

Publication Ethics & Policy

JAMCR is firmly committed to maintaining the highest standards of publication ethics, academic integrity, and transparency, adhering to the principles and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and following UGC-CARE guidelines on plagiarism and ethical publishing.

  • Authors must ensure submissions are original, unpublished, and not under review elsewhere; all sources must be appropriately cited; plagiarism, data fabrication, falsification, duplication, or redundant publication is strictly prohibited; all listed authors should have made a significant contribution and must approve the final version before submission; computational tools, datasets, algorithms, or software used must be disclosed with appropriate citations.
  • Editors must evaluate manuscripts solely on academic merit, originality, and relevance, without bias regarding gender, nationality, institutional affiliation, or personal beliefs; maintain complete confidentiality of all submissions; and follow COPE's recommended procedures in situations involving suspected ethical violations.
  • Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential documents, refrain from using unpublished information for personal advantage, provide constructive, objective, and timely reviews, disclose any conflict of interest before accepting a review invitation, and report any potential ethical issues such as plagiarism, improper citations, data manipulation, or computational errors.
  • Ethical approval and data responsibility: studies involving human participants, personal data, or surveys must comply with ethical standards such as the Declaration of Helsinki; authors must include a statement on ethical approval and consent wherever applicable, and are encouraged to provide data availability statements, source code, or supplementary files to enhance transparency and reproducibility.

Plagiarism Policy

JAMCR maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward plagiarism. All submitted manuscripts are screened for originality using advanced plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate before the peer review process begins. The total similarity index should not exceed 10–15%, excluding references, quotations, equations, and commonly used technical phrases. Manuscripts exceeding the permissible similarity limit may be returned for revision or rejected outright. Verbatim copying, self-plagiarism, redundant publication, and manipulation or misrepresentation of images, tables, algorithms, or datasets are unacceptable. Manuscripts found in violation before publication will be rejected immediately; if plagiarism is detected post-publication, the article may be retracted and the author's institution and/or funding agency formally notified. Authors are required to submit a Plagiarism Declaration Certificate at the time of manuscript submission.

Conflict of Interest Policy

Transparency and integrity are fundamental principles of JAMCR. All authors, reviewers, and editors are required to disclose any financial, professional, or personal relationships that could influence or appear to influence the submitted work. Authors must declare funding sources, consultancies, employment, stock ownership, honoraria, paid expert testimony, patents, or institutional affiliations that may bias their research. Reviewers must disclose conflicts and recuse themselves where such conflicts exist. Editors with conflicts of interest must delegate editorial responsibility. If no conflicts exist, authors must include the statement: "The authors declare that there is no conflict of interest regarding the publication of this paper."
